To honor my mandolin hero I created these prints to commemorate the two mandolins from Jeff's career that define the sound he shared with us...
The "Flatiron" was the one that introduced us to the unique and exciting sound and gave us the bulk of his early career songwriting and performing. This was the instrument that Jeff captured me and many others on.
The "Heart Attack" is his treasured Nugget that defines the later half of his career with Yonder, JAB, and all the amazing side projects. This was a mandolin that Jeff chose and desired to acquire and we all could hear why. It has a truly amazing tone and look.
These two mandolins bookend his deeply heartfelt career. The energy that comes off of these mandolins I tried to captured visually in patterns and colors in these prints. "Flatiron" has a wide range of colors and hues representing the depth and pace of the early songwriting. "Heart Attack" has the copacetic color design that complements the emotion and heart Jeff put into every performance.
